welcome to Oak physio and Wellness
At OAK Physio & Wellness, we offer pre & post-operative care. We offer treatment for a wide range of post-surgical rehabilitative efforts, including rotator cuffs, torn labrums, and ACL reconstruction.
Rehabilitative care could mean getting back into athletic shape or restoring enough functionality to engage in daily tasks. Pre and post-operative care have a major effect on rehabilitation after surgery.
At OAK Physio & Wellness, our physiotherapists use pre & post-operative care to treat various conditions and aid recovery before and after surgical procedures. In pre-operative physiotherapy, we focuses on improving strength, flexibility, and overall fitness to prepare the body for surgery, potentially leading to faster recovery. In post-operative physiotherapy aims to promote healing, reduce pain, regain mobility, and restore strength and function.

FAQ’S
Pre-operative care involves preparing a patient for surgery, focusing on physical readiness, emotional support, and providing necessary instructions to ensure a safe procedure.
Post-operative care focuses on recovery after surgery, addressing wound care, pain management, physical therapy, and monitoring for complications.
Proper care before and after surgery minimizes risks, promotes faster recovery, and ensures the best possible outcomes for the patient.
Older patients may require additional monitoring due to higher risks of complications and slower healing times.
It depends on the surgery you will be undergoing. Most doctors will undertake pre-operative assessments about a week before your surgery — two weeks for major surgery. Many people start pre-surgical rehab as much as six to eight weeks before surgery.
It also depends on the type and severity of the surgery. Your doctor should provide a specific surgical protocol that will define when you can start post-surgical physical rehabilitation. You will most likely start rehab within one to two weeks after surgery.
On your first appointment, our expert therapist will assess your condition, review your health history and develop a complete treatment plan. Schedule your first visit to begin your journey to recovery and discover what sets us apart.
