What I Do?

I graduated with her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University. Prior to that, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Queen’s University.

I see patients with acute and chronic pain, including athletic injuries, post-operative care, overuse injuries, degenerative conditions, and more. I have years of experience in strength and conditioning, training varsity-level athletes, youth athletes, community members, and individuals with disabilities. I combine my understanding of health and fitness rehabilitation with injury prevention. I focus on movement-based rehabilitation, self-management, and education to help my clients reach their goals. Growing up, I was involved in competitive lacrosse, volleyball, and rowing. Now-a-days I am heavily involved in weight lifting, performance programming, and nutrition coaching. Outside of the clinic, you can find me in the gym, running, camping, trying local craft beers, and cooking new recipes!

I Believe

Movement is medicine!

Q & A With Alex

Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Acupuncture

Movement Assessments, Return to Sport Programs, Exercise Rehabilitation, Injury Prevention, Post-Op Care

My approach is simple – break it down, build it up. I want my clients to continue participating in the things they love to do. I look to temporarily modify painful and/or compromised movements while simultaneously targeting the possible causes of the issue. Once the healing has taken place, we progressively re-introduce the previously painful movements to improve the tissue tolerance.

Exercise-based interventions, manual therapy, acupuncture
